"Friendly staff"

"We stayed at the Borgia Resort for one night. The hotel is excellent. The rooms were clean and good sized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d ordered room service and the service was quick. We were a party of 8 in three rooms and all the rooms were great. Breakfast in the restaurant was quite nice with a wide variety of Assamese, Indian and continental options. The reception staff were also very helpful and organised our jeep safari very easily and at a good price too. The only downside to the hotel was that it is not very good for people with accessibility issues. There were a lot of stairs even to get to the reception. And yet more stairs up and down to get to the first level rooms. My parents are quite advanced in age and had great difficulties climbing all these stairs to get to their room. Although there are ramps and wheelchairs, the ramps were quite steep and didn’t inspire confidence to be taken on them in wheelchairs. Unless you have accessibility needs, this hotel is definitely worth staying in. The surroundings are great with birdsong all the time and the central (Kohora) range - the best range, is a stone’s throw away. If it wasn’t for the accessibility issues, I’d give it a definite 5 stars. "

"Room had no telephone, to get reception you have to call the hotel using own phone. Electric receptacle for plugs were so loose that plugs got disconnected. There is no hot water. Both washbasin and commode let out dirt laden water for sometime. Seams like room was not used for sometime or toilets were not attended to for some time. The TV was not operative without paying and activating the hotels account with the cable company. Only good thing is that the fan and a/c worked. The price I paid ($26 + $6 tax is excessive. Later I saw they listed much cheaper (around $16) price in the internet. "

"my stay started with relaxing in the evening after the meeting and having coffee in the room followed by a spa and steam. Had dinner later in the evening and a stroll in the vicinity. The next day i swam in the smaller pool as the bigger one was under cleaning. I had a brief gym session followed by sumptuous breakfast."

"The best option in Guwahati. Near to Airport and the Kamakhya Temple. Excellent staff, great food spread and amazing taste. I will visit again. "
