"When we arrived, the door was open, and we assumed that the room was ready. Once we got settled, there were a few things that needed attention, like no washcloths, only two bath towels, very little toilet paper with no spare rolls. Although the body wash dispenser was missing, they did leave small sample bottles. It took a few trips to the front desk to make things right.
As for the property, the sink faucet was not the right fit for the Sink as you had to place your hands right up against the sink wall for washing.
Only one elevator was in operation. We’ve noticed that was the case at our last motel stay - I don’t know if this is a trend with motels for saving operational cost or if it was actually out-of-order. But, it was a minor inconvenience.
The grounds could’ve used some attention to weed pulling, especially just outside the windows of the dining area.
Breakfast was good, although our coffee contained grounds on a couple occasions.
A friendly and helpful staff, a good hot shower and a very comfortable bed made up the difference. I was also glad that Expedia reimbursed our $50 incidental fee, which did not happen at our last motel stay elsewhere.
Overall, we would agree with the 8.8 rating for this motel."
