"We didn’t use the pool The room was clean but the sound on the tv in the bedroom would go loud then soft and the one blanket that we had to use because we were cold could have been in use since world war 2. It was hard! the chairs on the verandah were unusable. Big splits right down the middle. Wouldn’t go to Mantra again."

"Excellent location, in walking distance to everything. Large, well-maintained room and big bathroom with heavy sliding doors for privacy. The staff were great. Had the complimentary coffee and muffins as fuel for the lighthouse walk! Highly recommend Waves and would love to return."

"We booked a superior king room and it felt like a cell. The only window looked at a grey wall 2m away. Very limited natural light. When I sat on the bed I sank down and nearly sat on the floor. The room also smelt quite funky and the bathroom smelt of wee. There was a large stain on the carpet as you entered the room. We also could not stream anything from my phone and I was told it was my phone's problem - never had a problem anywhere else. Having said that it was in the perfect position for the beach, shops and eateries!"

"It exceeded our expectations. I had a little trepidation due to reviews about service levels but I have to say we did not experience anything negative just the opposite. Staff were attentive, pleasant and prompt. The property and room was gorgeous. Restaurants were amazing and service by the pool was great. On arrival we had a wonderful surprise waiting for us in the room from the hotel of champagne and Balloons for my husbands milestone birthday. The location is great and just a short walk to the bars and restaurants in Burleigh."
