I had a lovely few days here - the owners are SO friendly and kind - there for your needs but totally unobtrusive. Would definitely return!

Absolutely brilliant, a beautiful quirky, cosy barn in the middle of gorgeous countryside - away from it all but close enough to walk to the local train station or pub. Sally and Chris who own Forty Winks are there if you need them but also leave you to get on too. I can't believe how much there was for breakfast... you would never go hungry staying there! Just a wonderful two nights.. only downside was the stay was too short! We'll def be back as this is a real hidden gem! :)

Absolutely wonderful experience, Chris & Sally came out and met us as we arrived, gave us a guided tour of Forty Winks. Lovely converted cart barn into a wonderful place to stay. They were there if we needed them but respected our privacy. Each day the breakfast supplies were topped up, a lovely selection for the fussiest eaters, the crockery was to be left on a tray when you returned from wherever you had been it was back in place clean and ready for use. Chris & Sally has thought of everything you could need for a peaceful break in the countryside. Folders of where to go where to eat etc, a barbecue is supplied if needed. Chris even brought our camera along to where we were for the day (in Cromer) after checkout because we had forgotten it - how about that for service, for which we are most grateful. We loved it so much we are going back. would recommend to all who are reading this

Perfect place for peace and solitude
This is a lovely place in an idyllic location. Wild deers graze in the fields behind and the stars light up the unpolluted night sky. It's got some great walks with the seaside town of Cromer only 7 mikes away along the Peston way. The coastal walk is great and the small, quiet country roads are flat and great for cycling. The accomodation is bed and breakfast but has the advantages of self catering being self contained. The building has been rebuilt from scratch. It feels and looks like an old place but is really modern with good insulation and under-floor heating. Only snag is the internet which is sluggish at times. A microwave would be a valuable addition.
