"We had an amazing time at Heythrop Park. The staff were are so friendly and wanting to help. The room was clean and spacious and when we had problems with the air conditioning not working, someone was sent to fix it and it was working again within half an hour. Only down sides were if you ordered through the app in the bars or restaurants, the service was slow and cleaning of the room while we were there was basic (towels changed, bed made and tea and coffee facilities replenished but dirty glasses not taken or changed)."

"The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, most specifically at the reception desk. The property is in a fabulous area and setting. Our bedroom was quite large, fitted with the bare basics, and plain decor. Room was tired and needing an update. Not much storage space for clothes and the lack of air-conditioning was uncomfortable in the evenings and at night (needed due to the lovely hot weather outside). We visited at peak season and the hotel was packed, but our room was lovely and quiet. So some good things and some poor. Glad we got a deal through a 3rd party website - at full price I would probably have been disappointed. Staff and location are the main assets."

Tempered on this particular occasion by ineffective room air conditioning and a dog basket & dirty glasses to greet us outside the room on arrival. Hopefully these points will get sorted soon."

"The hotel is very good and should be excellent. Unfortunately, it is let down in one area, the restaurant. We had issues at breakfast on both mornings as did others seated around us. I would describe the breakfast as “chaos”. It is a shame because aside from that the hotel is very good. The check in staff were excellent and the spa is more than adequate."

"I had an overall pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham. The hotel is set in a lovely, peaceful location with beautiful grounds, making it a relaxing place to stay while still being conveniently located for Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswolds. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was straightforward. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the bed was particularly comfortable. However, there were a couple of areas that could have been better. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak and could definitely have been stronger. I also noticed some dust around the toilet area, so a little more attention to detail when cleaning the bathroom would have been appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable and relaxing. With a few improvements to the bathroom cleanliness and shower pressure, it would have been an even better experience."
