Nubble Lighthouse

Considered to be the "most photographed" lighthouse, this 41-foot conical tower sits on the summit of Cape Neddick Bubble, a small offshore rocky islet, looking proudly over the Atlantic.
During the Xmas holidays is beautifully decored and its sight is even more impressive. There is a free parking lot at Sohier Park, just in front of the island, but be aware, the weather is bitter cold.

The Cape Neddick Light is a lighthouse in Cape Neddick, York, Maine. It was dedicated by the U.S. Lighthouse Service and put into use in 1879. It is still in use today. Considered to be one of the most photographed lighthouses, this 41-foot conical tower sits on the summit of Cape Neddick Bubble, a small offshore rocky islet, looking proudly over the Atlantic.
Accessibility: Follow Nubble Road east from Route 1A (Long Beach Ave.) in York, near Long Sands Beach, for about 1 mile to Sohier Park. There is free parking at Sohier Park with an excellent view of the lighthouse. The lighthouse and grounds are not open to the public.
