"MINUS 10 STARS!! Went from bad to worse from the time we arrived. From having a mess in 1 room since they were building a bed, no toiletries at all as mentioned, Water was not working properly; lights went off in 1 room and the ac and water not working in another. Then went in total darkness with no back-up generator available and we were told it happens all the time. Staff was hard to find even with a 'reception' area. All around a horrible experience. "Very nice stay at Amazing beach hotel! Staff are exceptional and made the experience much more enjoyable for me and my family. Property kept well. Perfect for solo travelers but even for a small family. Restaurants very close with good food. Waking up to the view of the beach was incredible. Highly recommend, I would definitely return myself! "At this price point, this hotel is a 10/10. It is in walking distance to local bars and restaurants. Nungwi Beach is about a 10 to 15 minute walk. The walk is not bad at all. You can opt to get a Boda Boda or Tuk Tuk ride to the beach, which cost about $1. And finally, the staff are exceptional. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the breakfast because I never eat breakfast."

"Exceptional service and responsiveness; Khadijah at the front desk in the Riu Class section took care of us for the whole week. We enjoyed all of the select restaurants, and even ventured to Stone Town. It was my wife’s birthday present, and boy was she overjoyed. We will definitely be back."
