Absolutely first class holiday and resort. Food was exceptionally good, both in the a La Carte restaurants and the buffet, grounds were immaculate, staff were friendly and warm. The pool areas and raised beach were fabulous. If you had a question or needed help with something, dial 9 and reception staff sorted it without ever needing to leave your room. Without doubt one of our best holidays ever and we will be going back next year without a doubt. The only note of caution would relate to disabled or elderly clients, the resort is well advertised as large and sprawling and dotted around a hillside, so walking about for some might be difficult. We loved with Island and would rate this holiday overall as a 10/10!

The hotel is amazing. It's beautiful, and the food, pool, beach, and activities are all incredible. But the best part is the people. The staff is so kind and friendly, always ready to help. I've never experienced hospitality like this before.

All meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner had extensive selection for all tastes and needs. All excellently, prepared fresh and delicious. We were fortunate to have an upgrade to a large 61m ocean view suite which was extremely comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful and with big smiles. First time we have stayed at this chain of resorts and best we have experienced.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable from the moment we arrived. The beach and the ocean were absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and breathtaking views. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was also very good, especially by Zanzibar standards. We found the meals to be flavorful and well-prepared, with a nice variety of options throughout our stay. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

Exceptional service and responsiveness; Khadijah at the front desk in the Riu Class section took care of us for the whole week. We enjoyed all of the select restaurants, and even ventured to Stone Town. It was my wife’s birthday present, and boy was she overjoyed. We will definitely be back.

Property is a hidden gem. Originally when I booked, this was adult only however it changed to family right before i arrived. I didnt like that but i will say it was big enough that the kids who were there weren’t a nuisance. Staff exceptional! Thanks to them all!!

Friendly and efficient staff providing excellent and responsive service. The property is beautiful with amazing ocean views and beautiful sandy beach readily accessible! Room was lovely- air conditioned, quiet and clean, with great water pressure in the shower, fully stocked mini bar. Full suite of amenities- including water sports, gym, spa, several bars, restaurants and swimming pools, and great night-time entertainment. We really had an exceptional experience- highly recommend.

Out of all the Riu hotels this was our favorite. Amazing location and views from the room. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Only the bed was a bit firm for my taste, but the staff got us an extra mattress which made it better. They are really serviceminded. Would love to return some time!

The wifi was utterly terrible and kept disconnecting. Also, there was no response regarding if pickups were available so I had to call and email 3 different places. You would think for 5 star booking pickup would be included. Also, they forgot to give me wristband so had to go all the way back to front desk to get one which was extremely frustrating. Everything else was wonderful, from food to room and staff I had a great time
