The staff was very nice, forthcoming, smiling and definately taking this review up. However, the area is not good. I believe it must be up and coming, but didnt feel like a safe area at all.

The breakfast staff and food quality/variety was good. Room was small but mostly clean. We chose this hotel based on a previous Hotel Leonardo stay, but should have researched more. While the hotel itself is small but nice, staff is friendly, the area around has many boarded up buildings, shady looking motels, a derelict building with squatters is directly beside the hotel. Not the hotel's fault, but not being familiar with the area didn't feel comfortable going out after dark, especially since traveling with family.

The Hotel itself was fine, reception was friendly and fast, rooms were clean and comfortable for the most part, apart from some questionable stains on the curtains. The downside is that a homeless camp has taken over the vacant property next door which is an eyesore and on Sunday morning we were woken by people yelling at each other for at least an hour. This was annoying because the advertised AC was not working so we had to have the window open to try to maintain a livable temperature in the room. The area is not very friendly but it is a short walk from the aldstadt and Ubahn so leaving is convenient.

Gutes Hotel in zweifelhafter Strasse

Hotel ist ok, die Umgebung aber sehr verschmutzt, heruntergekommen und laut, Fenster nicht dicht, daher wegen Lärm der Nachbarn, Polizeieinsatz und Feuer in der Strasse keinerlei Nachtruhe möglich (zwischen 0.45 und 3.00 Riesenlärm)

Die Türen zum Flur sind etwas dünn, man hört viel von den anderen Gästen. Leider wird viel geraucht auf den Terassen oder direkt vor den Eingangstüren. Die Zimmerfenster haben keine Gage, so dass im Sommer Mücken reinkommen können - wir waren zum Glück im Herbst da.
