Christmas Eve in Nuwara Eliya

Friendly and helpful staff. Authentic hill country experience . Close to centre of town. Good breakfast choice. Ask for extra blankets as it's cold at night.

Great place to stay, fantastic staff

We had a wonderful stay at Oatlands by Jetwing. Arriving in the evening we were warmly welcomed by Sarath, with hot soup to warm us up. The bungalow is tastefully decorated and had a lovely fire in the living room. The bedrooms were cosy and warm and bathroom spotlessly clean. Sanath was wonderful, a very pleasant and unassuming person. He was very attentive, kind and helpful. He helped my 87 year old father navigate the steps down to the hotel. We really appreciated his concern. Oatlands is a great choice, we had the cosiness of a period bungalow with access to the larger St.Andrews hotel for meals if we wished. On one occasion after visiting World's End, we opted to dine in the dining room in the bunglow. There is a small wetland area next to the hotel vegetable garden, which may be of interest to birders. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Oatlands.

Old hotel , but fashionable.

Impressed me most is that the waiter is a gentleman , very sincere. The room is pretty clean and the bathroom is fantastic.

It is actually a bungalow converted to a hotel. The advantage is that u get a private drawing room with an actual working fire place for the evening. The only disadvantage is that the kitchen is in the neighboring hotel and you have to plan your meals in advance. The staff is very helpful

Un moment de calme parfait dans cet univers so british avec un service et un cadre juste exceptionnels, il n y a absolument rien à redire sur ce petit cottage de 4 chambres et avec tous les services du St Andrews situé à 2 pas. Je ne peux que recommander grandement ce lieu magnifique.
