Oh my badda and dirty feet
The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Real service oriented! They might consider changing the bathtub shower to standup shower for safety reasons.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic food. Very cold pool and also some of the Reception staff were very abrupt and didn’t apologise when they made a mistake in misquoting us something by more than $100.

Good place to stay
Spent three nights here whilst sightseeing in the area. Great hotel but loud music started at 4.30 am, I'm told this was a wedding!

Lovely resort style rooms and facilities. Reasonably priced. Very warm welcome. Breakfast menu a bit "tired". Easy and inexpensive access to sights of Bagan.

Staff service without a smile. The room cleaners did not do a proper job next day after we gave them tips. The cleaner did not provide us hand towels. First night a bowl with food inside left on the night table, we did not what was and did not touch it. Next night the bowl disappeared from the night table. When we checked out the staff questioned us where was the bowl. I lost the room key where in the room, they charged me US$20. I have not complaint because it was my fault. No a good experience stay in this hotel!!!!

Great hotel/ resort in a Old Bagan. You can borrow a bike to all the nearby sights - best way to see the city! Staff is friendly and the room is very spacious.

Great location! You can walk to some of the main temples in Old Bagan or grab an e-bike right outside. Beautiful pool and great food!

Overall the staff were amazing and went out of their way to meet my needs. If I had to recommend anything, it would be replacing their taxi/shuttle. It was old. Not worthy of the cost to use it.

Beautiful hotel and great service! Walking distance to many of most famous temples. This was my splurge during trip around Myanmar, and glad I did upgrade to this hotel. Only down side is it is not near town, which is also nice and interesting.

Lovely hotel but dinner menu is very limited and what really bothered us was the noisy demonstration by hotel employees outside the hotel, which literally lasted almost all night long. Members of the union are protesting for fair wages. Management had warned us of the possibility of a disturbance, but we were not expecting to be awoken at 3am with loadspeaker chants.

Great Pool
Great hotel right by the entrance to Old Bagan. Our room was spacious, breakfast had plenty of options, staff were friendly but it was the pool that was outstanding. Just across the road were local eateries at really reasonable prices.

Beautiful resort at a bargain price
The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate is amazing. The grounds are landscaped beautifully, the rooms are large and fabulous, the breakfast is abundant and varied. Staff members were polite and helpful. I loved this place. It is conveniently located for visiting temples and can provide a free bike rental if you want to explore by yourself. I found Old Bagan ideal for sightseeing. On the other hand, it is VERY quiet at night. There is almost nothing else around, and my first night when I ventured forth, people acted like I was crazy to be strolling around in the dark. Bring a flashlight.

The hotel was very clean, the pool was great, and the service was amazing all around. The breakfast buffet was a bit too expensive for the value by Myanmae standard if you had to pay for it though. Other than that, highly recommended.

Luxury oasis in the heart of archaeology
Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, including the owner who was on hand when we checked-in to give us a special welcome! Great location with good food, including a selection of local Myanmar wines, which were quite enjoyable. A special benefit of our booking through Hotels.com was the additional inclusion of dinner each evening gratis, which included a special menu. The room was spacious and well decorated, located in a nice corner of the resort across a fish-filled stream, which is well-designed, with beautiful gardens and grounds. The only thing we missed was the swimming pool, which was being renovated while we were visiting, though the staff, food, drinks, happy hour and the rain all meant that we practically forgot about it. The hotel had also arranged for us to use the pool of a nearby resort, which included free shuttle service. We did not avail ourselves of the pool offer, though our friends we were traveling with did, and they enjoyed it. The hotel is located adjacent to Old Bagan, the walled city, meaning we were able to walk to most temples and only needed a tug tug on our final day. Definitely a must-stay if you decide to visit amazing, beautiful Bagan!

Close to main attractions, friendly staff, let us check in early after long bus ride from Yangon, free bikes to explore the area, beautiful pool and grounds, and they let us check out a little later to match with our flight. Great hotel in Bagan.

An Inviting Stay
The hotel is nice with beautiful landscaping. Although the hotel fumigates 2x a week, there are still many mosquitoes. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends who are visiting Bagan.
