"The lobby was clean and inviting! The front desk staff were helpful and in a great mood.
The only negative item we encountered was when we got into our room the had terrible mold smell. The air was on but the room still felt damp. We had to get to a concert so when we arrived back the room was still bad. I told the front desk but unfortunately the hotel was sold out and wasn't able change our room. The 9th floor looks like it needs to be updated, the hallway carpet was worn and The parking fills up quickly. I was double charged for parking, the hotel charged me. I have a receipt and then I couldn't get out the parking garage without paying again. Staff wasn't able to help me since I didn't get a receipt from the parking garage. So I'm out $120 in parking."
"Nice older historic property. It is a good place to stay. The settee, or mini couch was not comfortable. I bring my coffee setup from home. They only have disposable cups for use. Ask the front desk for bottled water or two. Large room, I think it was an upgrade, thanks."
"Property location is walkable to Grant Park. The hotel is in need of an upgrade but if you can get past that it is very clean and safe.
Our room faced the front and even though on the 12th floor you could hear the train all night long. The curtain in the room did not completely cover the window so there was a shaft of light coming in all night. Hotels were sold out and there was no other place in our budget to check in to; and restaurants were packed. There was a major trade show in town."
