Oak Park Holiday Rentals

"Did not like our original room facing the parking lot. Got changed to a courtyard, ground, room as shown in the photo with the blue umbrellas, which was excellent with a completely better vibe because of its location. Staff was super friendly. Indoor covered parking for $11.80 a night was reasonable. Overflow parking is outdoors, but well lit. Breakfast was very good with eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, waffles, yogurt, bananas, apples, orange and cranberry juice, coffee, tea, bagels, bread, etc. and we ate under the umbrella on our patio table. One of the better breakfast offerings on our trip. Lots of food options within walking distance too. Carl's Jr. and McDonalds, if you like those, are within view of the hotel on Santa Monica Blvd. I walked to the amazing Erewhon grocery store around the corner for an amazing sushi plate for $25.00. Their other food is amazing too but a bit pricey, and they have a great beer selection. Their quality is second to non though. Check out the 3rd street promenade about a15 minute walk away. Lots of stores and restaurants. We will definitely stay at this Comfort Inn again."

"The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the cleaning staff was kind and thorough. The hot tub was a little too green for my liking, but we did go in it (the kids insisted) and we did not get any skin or eye issues as a result. The pool was clean. The front desk staff was surly and distracted. The daytime shuttle driver was unfriendly and unhelpful, though there was another fill-in driver who was kind. The free shuttle to Disneyland was not offered for 7 hours in the middle of the day, and when it was offered, it was just once per hour. Since we arrived midday, we took the city bus instead of the hotel's shuttle (which was cheap and convenient), and then we were lost when we tried to take the hotel shuttle home, as the directions for where to pick up the shuttle outside of Disneyland were confusing, and the staff at the hotel could not clarify enough when we called to ask them. We were able to plan around it after we understood the hotel schedule and pick-up point, but the fact that no one gave us even a tentative schedule when I called ahead (even the day before check-in) meant that we were confused and disoriented at first. It would be helpful to get a tentative schedule before our visit began. The food at the breakfast was ok, but could have been fresher. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave in the room."
