"Richard was a lovely host, and very helpful when it came to changing pillows as feather too soft for our tastes.
Great breakfast in relaxed surroundings. Free parking too."
"Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms"

"The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We liked the convenience and food offered at the property. The bed was also extremely comfortable.
In terms of improvements, the mirror in the bathroom was too far away for shaving, etc - It would be nice to have a magnifying mirror. Also, we felt it was difficult to leave the property by car as the visibility was quite poor and cars pass by quite quickly."
"I've stayed here several times but not since the upgrade. Im really impressed.
My single room was small but perfect, exactly what i needed for my one night stay."
"Very comfortable, excellent breakfast, helpful reception and enthusiastic young staff
would suggest mentioning that the second floor is only accessible by two flights of narrow stairs - it is an old building but anyone with mobility problems might have difficulty"
"The staff were really friendly and lovely and the stay was so value for money with breakfast included. The bed was also quite comfy and the room was nice and warm. The decor is a little outdated but that doesn't affect the stay at all. The pub was decent and although we didnt try the food, the menu looked great."
"I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff are exceptional, rooms lovely, beds super comfortable and the food amazingly good. We went for a local wedding and the location was perfect. "
