Great location, beautiful room, smooth check in, amazing staff. The pool and gym are great, the location is perfect a short walk to campus or Rockridge shopping and restaurants, a great bakery and amazing burger place right across the street. The only place I want to stay in the Bay Area, the only resort experience in Berkeley or SF. I will be back for sure. A perfect place for a romantic getaway with my partner!

LOVE this majestic hotel: the restaurant, coffee shop and club house for workouts are perfect and walkable to great bakery, Peet's and College Ave, where there's everything that you need from laundry to wine to a movie theater

Building is old and AC weak, but that’s part of the charm. Hogwarts style historical vibe won us over. Pool is nice. Will come back.

The room was spotless, staff was very helpful and kind. The pool is beautiful the gym is great. The hotel location is perfect, quiet yet an easy walk to campus and the Rockridge area in Oakland. There’s a great bakery and Peet’s coffee just across the street from the hotel. Always a pleasure staying here, a wonderful resort like experience unmatched in the Bay Area.

Beautiful property and attentive staff. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side (we stayed in the deluxe king room) which is expected given it’s an older property. We enjoyed brunch with our family at Lime Wood with amazing views of the bay. The next day we had breakfast at Provisions which was great for a light meal. Do get here early as they run out of somethings by mid morning. All in all beautiful stay. Go Bears!

The rooms were nice and the resort itself had nice amenities for guests. Rooms could use an update. The curtains in the room I stayed in had holes, and for room 702 specifically had a view of the hotel's roof which isnt very attractive. Otherwise the hotel is ok.

I love that nothing is plastic or paper. Everything is reusable and the soaps and lotions all smell delicious. I love the plants on the table throughout the hallways.

The property was very clean and the complimentary congratulatory desserts nice, I have to say that I was surprised that I had to use my Netflix account to access premium TV service at such a prestigious (expensive) resort location though. I have had better TV service in ordinary hotels. Overall our experience was enjoyable with the highlight being the fantastic night view of downtown Oakland, San Francisco, and both bridges. Overall, I felt we should’ve gotten a little more for the cost and rate our stay at 4.2
