Obama Onsen Holidays

Stayed only one night but it was very convenient for a late entry to the amusement park. Despite the check in time of 3pm, we were allowed into the room at 2:30. Room was clean but is a little dated. The beds were comfortable and it was my first experience using a jinbei. Staff were professional. The complimentary water was a nice touch given the summer heat. The breakfast that was included with the package was liked by all.

What a perfect location for experiencing the city of Nagasaki. We were right located near the main area of Nagasaki Chinatown. We were surrounded by convenience stores and a very large number of restaurants either small privately owned to chain restaurants. Just generally shopping galor. There’s an and a very large number of restaurants either small privately owned to chain restaurants. There’s a small fish market right across the bridge. A barber next-door.Although there is no on-site parking, there was more than enough paid parking, which was in a very reasonable cost easily located all around this property. The property itself was again the perfect location. It was clean spacious fully stocked with all of the linens necessary to enjoy your stay. It also has a washing machine which worked out wonderfully for us. A small sitting area living room with a large screen TV next to a kitchenette. We would highly recommend this property for anyone spending time in Nagasaki. Conveniently located to Chinatown downtown the peace park the atomic museum. Five stars all the way.

Normally when we go to Nagasaki, we stay at a hotel near the train station. This time we tried this hotel at the Hamanomachi shopping arcade. The hotel seems brand new and the entrance is inside the arcade. The room we stayed at was modern, clean, and a bit larger than a normal Japanese hotel room. The front desk is on the 4th floor along with a free coffee machine, vending machines, two washing machines and dryers. on the same floor is the breakfast buffet which the price was reasonable and had local specialties. But since you at a shopping arcade, there are many more choices available there including a McDonald's just 200 feet away from the entrance. The location was excellent. You're in a shopping arcade, so naturally you have a lot of shopping choices. The bus from Nagasaki airport drops you off a couple of blocks away, so very convenient getting from and to the airport. There is a streetcar stop just outside the arcade to get wherever you need to go and Nagasaki Chinatown is just across the street. When we have to come back, we're definitely choosing this place.

Hotel staff was very friendly on check-in, lobby area very clean and neat, but dates some, especially including look of mix of furniture in lobby lounge area. Room was small, however nicely appointed with all I needed. The hallways of the hotel were immaculate and sparkled. The bathroom was very clean, however the room itself needed a serious deep edge-vacuuming. Dust could be seen along the edges of room and under the nightstand opening at the floor. Breakfast buffet offered multiple choices, included hot breakfast with Japanese options and continental options. Very nice breakfast. Onsen was very enjoyable and seemed to be kept very clean as well. Slippers and house clothes provided were not available for "larger" guests, but provided for average sized - one size fits most. Not the highest quality, but nice touch. Hotel provides a free hourly shuttle during day to downtown train station. Very convenient to go shopping, lunching, or to depart on train. As a side note, the hotel is a wedding destination hotel and specializes in large events. It is also located directly across from a small marina with attractions and restaurants.
