"My wife, 5yo son and I stayed four nights at the July and we had a great experience. We booked an apartment and when we arrived around noon they were able to find a room that was free so we could check in early. Shortly after they had a staff member come to unfold the sofabed for our son. The front desk staff was very helpful at check in.
For Europe, it’s actually a pretty big room and quite a big bathroom. There is only a closet to store your things, no drawers. There are two USB-A ports on each side of the bed, with EU outlets elsewhere. We bought a very good adapter from the desk for 12 EU.
The climate control is pretty good; when we arrived midday the room was hot, l closed all the shades and turned on what appeared to be the AC, and by evening the room was comfortable and cool.
The beds were very comfortable, including the sofabed. The rainfall shower was great – the pressure wasn’t as intense as we might be used to in the US but it was still more than sufficient for a very comfortable shower.
The hotel is away from the busy city center. If you’re looking to be in the center or steps away from a tram to the center, this isn’t it, but it’s still very easy to get into town: about a 7 minute walk to a bus stop that goes to Amsterdam centraal. Or ferries in a different direction. By the bus stop is another great neighborhood with places to eat or shop.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to AMS."
"Friendly staff, happy to help with check in (done online at hotel). Room/corridor key is via the app on your phone. Even though I knew the room was small it was still a surprise when I opened he door. Having said that it was perfecty fine for 2 days as I didn't need to unpack before moving on to Rotterdam. Good size bathroom considering size of bedroom. Easy to get to Poppies from Centraal Station (bus 391, get off at Mosplein then a 2 minute walk). If you wanted to walk from NDSM Werf then you can get the free ferry from Centraal. Hotel is not in the prettiest of surroundings but it's a relatively short walk to NDSM werf, Straat Museum etc. so was convenient for my needs. Would stay here again for 1 or 2 nights."
"Clean hotel, very near the train station and the town, where we went each evening for food. Staff were very helpful and friendly too.
Not so keen on the vending machines, they did run out of drinks, not great when there's 12 of us, but we coped!
Parking was convenient, but it didn't always like our number plates (we're from the UK)!"
