Poesia was not great at all - probably the worst meal in our party we had in the whole island and the worst Italian. The place is new but the chef is trying to be too creative with limited access to ingredients. A few people had a shrimp dish with tomatoes and no-one had tomatoes in it. Azure is okay - mediocre. If you want good meals, you have to go off the Crane property to restaurants along the coast."

"I booked this property through Expedia under stressful circumstances — Barbados air traffic controllers went on strike, my flight was canceled, and I was stranded along with many other travelers. I found this listing, booked it, received a confirmation number, and paid for a taxi to get there. When I arrived, the owner told me she had no room for me and that the property was fully booked. I had to advocate for myself and explain that I had a valid confirmation number and nowhere else to go. To her credit, she ultimately found a solution — another couple who had also booked that day agreed to share their two-bedroom unit with me, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience left me uneasy. When I asked for a glass of tap water, I was told she didn’t have any and was offered a bottle of water for $2. I explained I was running low on cash since I hadn’t planned to still be in Barbados. She eventually did give me a bottle of water, but the fact that her first instinct was to charge a stranded traveler for water was off-putting. Everything worked out in the end, but the process was stressful and unwelcoming. If you’re booking here, just know that there may be a disconnect between what the booking system reflects and actual availability — and that the hospitality experience may be inconsistent. Future travelers should keep that in mind. "
