Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Madison West, WI
6/10 Okay
"The location is ok. Walking distance to 3 restaurants/pubs. The hotel is older. The only update is no carpeting. Bed is extremely hard. Breakfast is standard with scrambled eggs, sausage patties and make your own waffles. Some fruit and cereal available. Yogurt, bread for toast and hard boiled eggs. Area was kept clean. Parking and check in were easy. Did same day check in. Hot tub under repair. Did not use the fitness center or pool. "
"The PM desk manager seemed completely uninterested in being of service. He claimed we could just help ourselves to breakfast. He was unaware that the breakfast they provided needed to be paid for. The next night he said they had no towels for the pool. He truly believe he just didn’t want to get them. I just told my son we would have to get out of the pool sooner so we have time to dry off. Thursday night, the pool had a few towels. Friday night and Saturday morning, the pool had no towels. At least they had about 5 towels at the front desks. They either had a hoarding problem, supply problem, or simply just managerial neglect. The pool had potential but it was unbearable cold, like lake water. I didn’t go any more than waist deep. My son spent most of his pool time on the steps of the pool. I would like to try this property again. However, the condition of the pool is my first concern as a parent. If my kids cannot enjoy the pool, then this is not the place for me. They won’t enjoy the pool if it is too cold to swim in. Hilton Garden should be embarrassed by both the temperature of the pool and the fact they couldn’t even stock the towels in the pool. "
"The breakfast offered a lot of variety but the taste was not very good. The fitness center had no free weights and both treadmills were out of order. Vending machines were out of order as well. "
"The hotel was very clean and everything was really nice. It was off season, so we got the whole pool and water slides and hot tub to ourselves! Best hotel stay ever!"
