"The lodge is superbly located at the head of Loch Assynt with lovely views outside. The bed was very comfortable and the lodge has lots of power sockets. It is small and compact with limited storage space and no armchair but this is reflected in the price. Biggest problem was no mobile phone signal (EE). Owner said that there was a problem with the transmitter. Note, the WiFi code is buried in what looks like a tourist brochure, perhaps could be more obvious. Excellent value and I hope to return."

"Although lovely and clean and exactly as described, after hotels and a cottage the Pod was a bit small for us with hindsight. Was warm and well-equipped and is within easy walking distance to the beautiful beaches."

"The guesthouse and the host, Brian, were great. Due to a booking error, I was able to book the accommodation even though they were closed. Brian still gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room free of charge. He gave us tips for a good restaurant and even made a reservation for us! The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. We would definitely recommend this hostel; it was simply fantastic!"
