"Location: 5 min walk to old town so very convenient. Easy paid parking across the street from the hotel. Hotel: Nice breakfast included. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Room: Had a large one bedroom suite that wa spacious and had everything needed for a short or long stay."

"Great location and overall good hotel. The only issue I have with the hotel is that they use lot of bleach to clean bedding. You can smell the bleach in all the bedding and for some reason I woke up every morning with irritated pinkish eye. It would go away through the day and come back in the morning after sleeping in the bed."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful…. Even during a fire alarm when they were graciously handing out blankets to guests. The breakfast was superb! And the room was lovely. We would absolutely stay here again. PS - room with a balcony facing the mountains is the way to go and don’t sleep on the guest pass (we rode free to mittenwald, saving about $100!)."

"Great hotel with interesting history relating to winter olympics. A variety of rooms. Attractive Bavarian decor around the hotel including traditional furniture. Accepts dogs. A wide selection of quality food that can be augmented with wines and beers. Numerous forrest walks start outside the hotel by the lake. There is a path down the hillside that allows you to reach Garmish providing you have reasonable fitness. The old road to the hotel is being replaced so no more bumps before arrival. The views in good weather are stupendous. If you stand at the end of the lake near the hotel, you can see the Zugspitze mountain complex. We have visited twice and would love to go a third time or more."

"The setting was beautiful and the room lovely although we did have mosquitoes in our room, probably because the window/door was open upon our arrival to give us fresh air. So we didn’t open it anymore and consequently we were very warm at night. The breakfast was quite good with lots of options. The pool was very nice and refreshing. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed Joseph, our waiter."
