"The price was right, and the accommodation was close to town, however, not really easy walking distance, but a very short drive. We went to Hobbiton from the information center in Matamata by bus and found that very convenient. We ate it a little restaurant where there was a guitar player, entertaining in the front, and shared fish and chips, which were very good. The hotel was perfect for our needs. It was a bit small in the hotel for the first night that was when the key was in the door on arrival. Everything was easy. Slightly dated, but clean and comfortable."

Some sort of blind or lace curtain would give a bit more privacy. The option for underground parking was great. It had everything we needed and was very warm. There was building work going on on the building next door however we did not hear anything and it did not disturb us at all."
