It was too expensive for what was available. No bar/restaurant. Nothing really nearby. Thank god i brought my own food or i would still be there....dead from starvation in the room.

Friendly staff, nice pool, hot tub and sauna and very quiet and family friendly. We often stay here often over many years and love it. Great location, very clean, comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. Only negative was that the beds only had a sheet and a VERY thin scratchy blanket- would have liked an actual comforter, especially given winter. Attached bar was clean, very reasonably priced drinks and the bartender was very friendly. Breakfast hours were great- average continental breakfast. Cute little gift shop.

This was just a quick work trip, so minimal time was spent at the facility. Everything was great. A little mix up trying to check out early, but the Expedia rep was super helpful in getting things straightened out. Otherwise, great experience.

I love how the hotel is nestled right on the Lake Superior shoreline. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It is so convenient to have an on site restaurant and bar. The free breakfast is definitely a perk.

We've stayed there 3 times now and each time is good. We especially enjoyed Skyler in the bar. He was friendly and always accommodating.

I had accidentally left my leather coat in my hotel room closet. We were already hours away when I realized my error. The attendant I talked to was very helpful. She found my coat and offered to mail it to me using my credit card on file. It came just as she promised about a week later. I'm very grateful that I was able to contact the hotel directly and didn't get transferred to a "switchboard" operator. Thank you again to that helpful front desk receptionist. :)

The price is a little bit high but the overall experience makes me feel it is worth. If you have a travel plan to porcupine mountains, that might be the best choice.

Very close to Porcupine Mountains! Lake Superior is right by hotel and they have good seating to sit by the water and view the beautiful sunsets! We’ve stayed here several times and have always had a wonderful experience!

The lobby area was very nice. The rooms were quite dated but clean. Beds were not very comfortable and the bed linens were very old and needed to be replaced. But clean. Which is why it shocked us to see so many flies. We had 4 big flies in our room and had to kill them. My parents also had the same problem down the hall. And then there were some flies in the hallway. There was no smell and it was clean but I’ve never seen the fly issue anywhere else. I was disappointed, especially for the price.

Great location right on Lake Superior with seating options on the shore. Nice park across the driveway that you could walk to on the river.

We booked the room with a view of the lake, very disappointing as we could only see the lake after looking though the pool area. Very limited dining space, along with staff. We never got our supper after waiting an hour. Ran out of food at breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. The attached restaurant has great food, we all really enjoyed our dinner. The back of the hotel faces the Lake Superior shore line and there are chairs and fire pits on the beach, such a great bonus, we really enjoyed!

Overpriced. Disappointing View. No Serious Issues.
This hotel felt overpriced. We were disappointed when we realized that the bedroom shared a wall with the indoor pool. The only view from the bedroom was a window to the pool. Very weird regardless but frustrating since we paid for a lake view room. The was a tiny, obstructed view of the lake if you stood in the far corner of the living room. The breakfast was as disappointing as much cheaper hotels.

Hot shower and breakfast
Check in was easy. Room was clean. Housekeeper Samantha went above a beyond, we Loved the little touches of a towel animal and mints on the bed. Shower was clean, water was hot and pressure good. Fitness room was a little disappointing bring since only a treadmill and elliptical no weights or mats. Was nice having a bar and grill to walk down for dinner after a long day of driving. A hot Breakfast was nice before a long drive day ahead.

What I absolutely loved was being able to walk the Lake and fulfill my trip to Michigan and finding my first Yooperlight stone. What I didnt like was the uncontrollable smell of dirty feet. The variety of snacks in your vending machine could use more of a variety of snacks. Also not everybody likes Coke products Pepsi products would have been nice since trying to get to a store is nearly a drive.

Great option for our travels in the Porcupine Mountains. Very central. Dining room was good/convenient & you can’t beat a beautiful sunset!

We made reservations with the understanding they were pet friendly we drove a 6 hr trip and was looking forward to a long needed rest when we went to register they informed us they didn’t take cats. We thought cats were pets as they advertised pet friendly. There was no cell service so we couldn’t use our cell phones to call for another motel. We asked to use their land line the two women behind the desk did not want us to use it but reluctantly finally let us it was a local call. We could not reach anyone at the two places we called. We finally called a friend of ours and they put us up for the night. It was a complete nightmare and the attitude of the two women was terrible. We had been at three other motels in Michigan that week that were pet friendly and had no problem. If you’re not going to accept cats then you should specify that. We would never recommend your motel.

Outstanding facility located a few minutes drive from the Porcupines. For those who aren't campers, but want to explore the beauty of the Porcupines, this is your answer.

It’s an older hotel that sits right on Lake Superior with a beautiful view. Their ad says they have fire pits to have a campfire but fails to mention you need to bring your own wood and fire starter. Pool has a lot of sand in it but probably hard to control considering you can be right on the beach outside. Pillows are terrible and the beds are just okay.
