"My wife and I stayed in the delightful Carriage House Suite, it was pleasantly appointed with an expansive view and gentle winds blowing through this elevated residence. Surprisingly quiet except for the occasional throttle from a distant lobster boat. Short hike to the Main House where cocktails welcomed us, then in the morning a sumptuous breakfast to fuel the days’ journey. The house manager Greg made us feel at home and the views, while sitting on the porch, brought visions of old coastal sailing from here, down east and ports away."

"We booked our room at the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. Very clean and comfortable. Parking is very convenient as is the location. Walk to shops and restaurants. The rooftop bar was great and the staff were friendly and efficient!"

"This is a beautiful property. Room was very clean. The view of the bay from the balcony was breathtaking. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding with made to order eggs and pumpkin pancakes or French toast. We will definitely return to this location."

"The property is quaint and charming, and the room was pleasant and clean. The location and walkability to town is great. My only disappointment was that there was no coffeemaker in the room (pods were provided, but no idea where to use..?) and no mini-fridge. These have become such standards for motels/hotels, I didn’t even think to ask. But we couldn’t stow the food from our cooler or refreeze our ice packs, and no morning coffee!"

"This gem of an inn is exactly what you want when traveling. They are doing everything right! The accommodations were roomy and comfortable. Really nice common area for meeting other guest and relaxing. Kitchen with plenty of options for breakfast or and afternoon snack. And the view was spectacular! We would absolutely return."

"The inn is in an old historic building, with lots of original character. Fantastic to have parking. Great location, short walk to town. We stayed in the Victory room on the first floor. Very spacious, clean and nice bedding on comfy bed. Shower was nice and hot and good water pressure. Things to know: We had a window AC but no thermostat to control heat (fortunately we had ideal weather). We were next to a restaurant in the building so had to keep curtains closed as people were walking up porch past our window to enter restaurant (fine with us, we weren’t in room a lot, just something to be aware of. Rooms on second floor would be a better option if in room a lot)"

"My wife and I first stayed here in the 80's. For a while, we came once a year. We hadn't been for about 12 years, so we decided to go back to Boothbay to see what changed. The town is still beautiful, but it did have a little different feel to it from when we first started going. The hotel is in a great location, in the center of town, overlooking the harbor. It is now owned by The Lafayette Hotel Group. The full service restaurant that they used to have is now more of a bar/lounge, where you order food(limited) at the bar. The people were nice and the food was decent, though. We do miss being able to have breakfast in the morning. If you have never been to Boothbay, we still recommend going, and The Fisherman's Wharf is a great hotel. It is more of a sign of the times that places have to cut costs, in order to survive. I am sure Covid also has a lot to do with the changes."
