They even set up a seating area for us in the terrace of our room so our friends from a neighboring room could join us for wine in the shadow of the Royal Chateau. Room #4 is the best!! "The hotel is nice, clean and strategic. You could walk to St Michel for 1 hour. The owner is ver friendly and helpful. For those who come in after 8pm,make sure you call thm so they an leave you a key in the" mail boxes" in fron of the entrance/restaurant "

"We stayed a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a short walk to the main streets of Amboise but in a quiet location. The lounge is a beautiful place to have a drink before dinner and the fireplace was running the first night we were there. Our room (5) was huge and very pretty two bedrooms, a day bed, two bathrooms, but both bathrooms were in the smaller bedroom (and only one had a toilet). Not sure that would work for two couples traveling together but probably fine for a family with kids. The bed was a bit close to the wall for us to share, so we each took a bedroom. We took breakfast several days, which was not elaborate but had the standard items (croissants , bread, cold cuts, cheese, etc) and they will cook eggs for you. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we returned to Amboise."

"This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we stepped foot on the property we had attentive, professional service from every single staff member. The property itself is breathtaking with open areas of nothing but wildflowers. The restaurant is fantastic, every option on the menu is delicious, and again excellent service. The breakfast buffet is amazing and worth leaving your room for. The room itself is the most calming space I have ever been in. I slept more than I have slept in years. I was able to get a deep sleep and the beds were perfect. Our room opened out to a vacant field area and it was so quiet I could just sit and watch the sunset. The spa was wonderful as well. I plan to go back to utilize more services there. We booked the spa a bit too late and the appointments had been taken already. But I am happy to have a reason to return. They have numerous bikes that are complementary that you can use to bike into town and see the Chateau. The ride is easy. I was the most relaxed I have ever been, even my husband noticed. I was so checked out that I even forgot my passport at the hotel and had to come back. Of course, the amazing staff had located it and had it ready at the front desk. Great job to everyone who works there! We LOVED our stay. The property is gorgeous and I will go out of my way to return."
