"This was a quick, one-night stay after returning from a trip. Upon entering the hallway, there was a strong smell of cigarettes and other musty odors. The keypad to the room door barely worked, and it took several minutes to get it open. The hotel rooms themselves were in poor condition—when I pulled out a chair to hang my coat, a piece of the desk was broken off and just lying on the chair. Thankfully, no one sat on it. I’m grateful this was only a one-night stay, as I would not recommend this hotel."

"Matt at the front desk answered all of our questions and was always available to point you to the hot coffee and tea or ice water that was available all the time. The room was super comfortable. The free breakfast was amazing and provided many healthy options and a few treats as well. My family and I would highly recommend the Fairfield Inn in Orillia. "

"Overall , great hotel. Nicely renovated for an older style building in the downtown core of Orillia. The only thing that was a disappointment was the deposit surprise you receive at check out. 450.00 is a bit outrageous."

"The staff was quite friendly, respectful and super kind. They were very attentive. Now, tge con was that the shuttle to Rama was not functional, so if you're planning to stay there and party at Rama, call ahead. "

"Kid-friendly, staff are friendly and has good amenities. The food was better than expected but the price is also higher than anticipated. The 95$ pp per day accummulated to $500 for 2 days (5meals) there’s also a lounge fee ($13) that I was not aware of."

"The property overall is good. Location is great and the rooms are clean. Some staff I found were helpful and pleasant, some staff needed to share issues they were having on their shift. The breakfast could use a bit more variety."
