"Great staff and a great atmosphere, sadly being a few hundred years old there was the minor inconvenience of not having air conditioning 😂 If you are planning a trip to this excellent hotel, do it direct and not through the Expedia ,who charged £50 more than the hotel invoice."

"Our room was small but lovely, with a very good shower and lots of clean towels. The continental breakfast was plentiful and shared with other guests in the breakfast room. All the staff we met were friendly and polite, treating locals and guests with the same respect and courtesy. Our evening meal was delicious, with tasty vegetarian options as well as lots of meat/fish on offer and the draught cider was especially welcome in the heat! We found this place by chance but we definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again."

"The room was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. Lovely shower. Air con was a bonus with the heat lately. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a school prom being hosted which made leaving the grounds difficult due to the traffic and narrow road, but the staff handled the flow of cars really well. The view from the window was great of the golf course. I would definitely like to stay here again."

"What a fantastic start to our honeymoon, which was booked last minute after an injury prevented us from our abroad plans! The inn is gorgeous with the most beautiful terrace! The nightlight of our stay, however was the wonderful staff, closely followed by the exceptional food - we were looked after so well by the team who couldn't do enough for us for our special occasion. We felt almost like family and you are all a credit to the inn! I recommend to stay - but also just go for a fabulous dinner - you will not be disappointed!"
