She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. "We came here for the last stop of our Italian honeymoon and were certainly impressed by the property, amenities, room, etc. but we were truly enchanted by the staff who did everything to make our stay the most memorable of our lives. There are too many people to mention them all by name but particular standouts were the bartender Alessio who, over the week, took us on a tour of various Italian amaros as digestivos, Mattia who was always happy to chat with us about the latest events of the Giro in the spare moments when he was wasn't tending to guests, and Vassilios who, on short notice when a wine tasting wasn't available, helped us pick a few bottles and walked us through the tasting notes and experience. Never in my life have I felt so much at home at a hotel. Considering the price, I initially thought this would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, but now I anticipate it may become a required stop on any future European vacations we take, because it was so, so worth it."
