Excellent breakfast with western and Japanese food and some fun automations (fresh squeezed self serve OJ machine and automatic pancake machine). View of ocean and small Atami beach out front. Short walking distance to shopping district in Atami, which is smallish. Some construction next door when we went but didn't hear anything - very quiet and peaceful. No self-laundry facilities FYI. We walked from Atami station to the hotel (thankfully downhill but rather steep portions) but definitely needed the complimentary taxi ride back to the train station given the steepness of the location."

"Great place for families visiting Shimoda and Izu Peninsula. Definitely a hotel catering to Japanese tourists, but with a little Japanese and respect the staff is very friendly and works with you. Some of the staff spoke some English. Bathhouse, arcade, and hotel amenities were great. Walking distance to everything downtown and easy spot to drive to other locations. Would definitely stay here again with family on vacation. "
