"It is true rhat when you first see the Gasthoff you do not get the best impression. The outside could do with renovations and the reception looks a bit messy. "I stay here for one night around four to six times a year with my two Chihuahuas while travelling between the UK and Scandinavia. The hotel only has two EV chargers, but I have always been able to charge my car during my stay. Dogs are welcome in the hotel, guest rooms, and outdoor areas, although they are not permitted in the restaurant or pub. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the motorway and roughly the same distance from Münster city centre, making it a convenient stopover. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially if you make the effort to say a few words in German, although most speak good English as well. One thing to be aware of during the summer is that there are a lot of ticks in the surrounding area, so it's a good idea to check your dogs thoroughly several times after they've been outside."

"We were staying one night, breaking up a journey from Potsdam to Calais. The hotel was excellent for our needs, spacious bedroom, great bathroom and the breakfast was the best we experienced in 9 days in Germany and Belgium. My only word of caution is that the hotel whilst ideally placed for anyone travelling by train, it is about a 10/15 minute walk from the desirable part or Bielefeld. In fact the approach to the hotel was typified by run down shops and what appeared to be experiencing hard times. That said we would seek out Steinberger hotels if we are travelling in Germany again"

"We’re staying there during the heatwave so having the AC was a must. First night the AC was not working in our room, they changed the room but it was still not working and the room was so hot. The next day we finally got the room with proper AC. The staff was responsive and helpful."
