7.4 out of 10, Good, (23)
"What a wonderful place to stay! Had some difficulty finding it, as I was driving alone and my Spanish is terrible, but once I arrived, I had zero complaints! There are two Balcon del Lagos on Google Maps, make sure to go to the one closer to the lake. The staff is extremely friendly, and truly care about your experience. The cabins themselves have stunning views, hot water, and are very cozy. I would highly recommend staying here, for a fun and authentic Ecuadorian experience!"

Hostal Otavalo Prince
2.0 star property
6.4 out of 10, (13)
"Drove around with our taxi driver for 20 minutes trying to find the place. It wasn't where Google said it would be, and no one in Otavalo had any idea what it was. Finally found it, and the front desk said we didn't have a reservation. We showed him printed proof that we did, so he took us to a room and gave us towels and toilet paper. No key, and no wifi password. Two windows in the room were left ajar and they let in cold air. We promptly walked down the street and found a better hotel."
