"A most enjoyable, peaceful, one night stay, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the grounds. We were in one of the oldest, original, parts of the house, but everything was tastefully up to date and very clean. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly."

Given advice on where to eat for the evening (I chose the pub within 15 min walk). Improvement would be to post a picture of the front of the house on the listing, as I drove up the street twice before I found it."

"I booked the single room, which was bijou but as I expected it to be. The main thing was it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was so much better than the bland food that you get in chain hotels. Really tasty fresh ingredients that really set me up for the day (I didn’t eat again until 8pm!). "I used this for an overnight stay, was welcomed nicely by the young man on duty, (who was very helpful and accommodating throughout the stay). Was surprised to find my room did not have a key to secure it when I went out for a meal though. Also television reception was intermittent, (didn’t matter too much as I was on a short overnight, but would have been irritating on a longer stay). Otherwise, things were fine."
