Ottine Holiday Rentals

"The location of the Hotel is good. Easy to get to right off the Highway. We traveled to Ottine and downtown Gonzales, easy in and out. Didn't get up early enough for the Breakfast. "

"Very clean. We rented a King bed room and we were surprised at how spacious the room was. The free hot breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Plus, the staff were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in this area. "

"Other than the sheets being clean, the rest of the room was filthy. Dead cockroaches in the room, window sill was covered in dead bugs. The bed itself was as cheap as possible and not comfortable. In the bathroom, the shower spigot actually came off the wall as it was only being held on by caulking, and not very well obviously. The wall unit AC had a weird smell coming from it when I turned it on and when I removed the cover to check the filter it clearly had never been cleaned or replaced and had about an inch thick layer of just grime. I left after 30 minutes and did not actually stay. Based on the listing here on Expedia, I would go so far as to say it was falsely advertised and would advocate that no one stay here until massive changes are implemented."

"Air conditioning worked well. The bed was comfy. Room lacked lighting in the room, no desk lamp, etc. The TV did not work. Very noisy neighbors next door, and they were outside our door, until at least midnight. Breakfast was waffles, cereal, small muffins, toast, juices, coffee..... no yogurt or fresh fruit."

"As others have said some of the rooms are showing wear. The carpet is looking worn and a lot of scratches in the furniture. Having said that our room 412 had an exceptionally clean bathroom and kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were great. When my 16 year old and I arrived my husband and mother in law had already checked into our 2 rooms. When I walked into my room it smelled of stale cigarette smoke. I let the staff know but I was too tired to move rooms. I asked they try an ozone clean while we’re out the next day. I should have reminded the staff before I left as nothing was done while we’re out the next day. My husband didn’t notice it and I became nose blind to it. Just smelled every time I returned to the room after being out. Hopefully they will fix it. You would think since our 16 year old was on the reservation they would have given us bedding for the pull out couch. While we were waiting for the sheets we pulled out the couch and there was a huge ugly stain in the middle of it. Sigh… When the staff brought our sheets we told them about it and said we would just let him used the pull out in my MIL’s room. We were super tired and just didn’t want to deal. I really believe with little tweaks this hotel could be so much better. But please replace those pull out couches- just gross. It is in a great location and has a starbucks and a dutch bros right next to it. The rooms were quiet and staff nice. "

"My room was an interior room. Yes, think inside stateroom on a cruise ship ie, no windows. I noticed the hand towel that was hanging up was damp meaning it was used. I didn't report it since there was a dry one available. Could not get the TV to go on but since i arrived back to my room aftet 9:00pm, I didn't want to bother anyone. Bed was comfortable enough. Didn't use the shower so no comments on this. "

"Breakfast area wasn't kept clean although staff was sitting in the breakfast room on her phone. Room was musty smelling on arrival and spiders in bathroom. Was able to get disinfectant spray from front desk to spray the room ourselves. Toilet in room had chain come off and after “repair”, ran continuously. Room 309 definitely needs a makeover. Pealing mirror frame, USB ports in headboard do not work, bed old, mattress yellowing. Linens need to be replaced. Tub dripping constantly. Lights flickering in ceiling. Will not stay at this hotel again."
