"For the price,I was surprised at the room.offered: old, tired small. Grateful it was close to our bus stop as we were not driving. No glasses in room. Pub downstairs great food and service. Would not recommend this accommodation if stairs are a problem- long flight up."
"We stayed in one of the motel units. We had a late check in and our room had the heat pump already on so arrived to a nice warm unit. Staff were great throughout our stay, loved the hot swim both mornings - towels provided for our swim. The motel unit was comfortable and fully stocked with the standard kitchen appliances and crockery. Good sized fridge. Fantastic sunrise in the morning. Will definitely stay again."
"Easy to book, easy access, helpful booking staff. But desperately in need of a cleanup. Overpriced for quality and cleanliness. Please dont publish my review; it is given as constructive criticism, private for the owners to work on. I have no intention of spreading bad vibes. "
"Great place to stay whilst venturing around the area. Clean and tidy and thoroughly enjoyed the soak in the spa pool after cycling the Historic Rail trail."
"One of the best places i have stayed in New Zealand!
Staff were amazing and very friendly.
The best mattress - a proper mattress- ive had during my trip. The mattress was soft enough, not like a board, a full sized queen (not two singles pushed together) and was lower to the ground.
Bathroom clean and tidy. Nice thick towels. The shortbread in the kitchenette was delightful.
Very close to local shops and cafes. Two doors down you have a range of food choices.
Car space right outside the room.
Nice chairs and lots of space.
Thanks for the wonderful stay!"
"It’s rare that you run into an innkeeper who thoroughly enjoys hosting the wayward traveler. Glenys is one of those people. Being a Kiwi also is an advantage. Yes the rooms are clean, spacious and inviting but it’s the warmth and welcome that seals the deal for the biker on the Hauraki rail trail
