"Happy Apartments Luna is comfortable, well-furnished and well-equipped and in a very convenient location in Genoa. It's not far from the main railway station (walking distance, or 3-4 short bus stops if you have luggage). It's close to bus stops for several useful routes, and there are 2 funiculars and several lifts nearby that can take you effortlessly up to higher levels of the city. A helpful VisitGenoa tourist information office, the Palazzi that form the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old...
"They are in a pedestrian street. Parking is in same building but access is on a different street. Call property ahead of time to coordinate check in and parking. "
"Gut gelegen vis à vis vom Meeresmuseum.
Sauber, guter Zustand, gut eingerichtet (inkl Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen), praktische Rauminteilung.
Etwas knapp an Tüchern (zB kein Abtrockentuch) & nervig, dass man allen Müll selber entsorgen muss."
"The responsiveness was one thing I would definitely say was good. There were not great instructions on finding the place especially as a tourist but once we found it there was no key in the lockbox so we could not get in. When I reached out about this someone was able to meet us immediately and we got a very quick response. Once in the apartment, it was very hot and the AC is slow working. The AC also makes a very high pitched noise after about 15 minutes making it impossible to sleep with it on...
"The place was very clean. It was nice to come to some cold drinks in the refrigerator. The washer with the dryer were a really big upside. The moka pot to make coffee in the morning was also very nice. Would be fantastic if there's air conditioning."
"Great location, right in downtown of Genoa, close to everything. I did feel there were too many things to fill out at the beginning but it was worth it at the end. Clean and with well written instructions for everything. "
"Loved this place but wish I had known it was 97 steps up a narrow staircase with no lift. Being on my own trying to get my suitcase up was a nightmare on an extremely hot day. Would be nice if someone actually greeted you to help at the property on arrival. Other than that I had the best time here. "
"Very large apartment, clean in a great location. Minimal equipped kitchen could have use a few more cooking pots and pans. Location faces onto the very busy piazza. With no AC and the windows open it was quite noisy late into the night and very early in the morning.
Check-in instructions need improvement. Lock box was impossible to find. Found after asking several locals. The unit was only indicated as 4th floor, no unit number. Only found it after trying the key in every lock until one...

"A clean and upscale hotel with very helpful staff! Great location near the train station, and an easy walk into the city center. We enjoyed our stay here and would return. "
"We loved the Palazzo Grillo. Yes, it is a registered UNESCO World Heritage site and a wonderfully restored hotel that seamlessly blends a palazzo built in 1545 with 21st-century conveniences. A superb breakfast on the top floor, a beautiful relaxation library on the second floor, and nicely placed in the old quarter of Genova, at the Piazza delle Vigne.
Palazzo Grillo is located in the pedestrian zone of the town center, making access by car impossible. We enjoy walking, so the 5-minute walk with our luggage from the closest parking garage (Marina Porto Antico) to the town center was no problem. Be sure to follow the directions from the hotel. Certain taxis can take you close to the hotel, resulting in a shorter walk. The labyrinth of alleys in the old part of town is worth your trip--a cultural wonder.
Expect excellent service from the staff.

"Amazing location right near the port of Genova, restaurants, museums, shops, etc. Love this hotel, staff excellent, breakfast lovely, rooms spacious. "
"Parking was tough but property is not far up a side street connected to the port main road, so we could park at the aquarium public parking and it was very short walk.
Very glad we stayed at this hotel vs others in Genoa downtown once we had walked the city some. This property is in one of the better / cleaner / safer feeling zones. The police station is literally next door so you get to see them pass by on patrol regularly.
The pizza place directly across the street had excellent pizza as well."
"Very nice first impression. Hotel well appointed and on the marina. Room very (and I mean very) clean. Also looks recently redone (tho I could be wrong-just looks modern and no signs of wear). Breakfast varied and seating outside a nice touch (breakfast is an upcharge). Luggage hold on day of depart and room ready on day of arrival. Bar/restaurant pretty expensive relative to a short walk to a ton of bars/restaurants across the way from the hotel. 5 minute walk and your choice of seat in any of a number of places. Next door to the aquarium but not intrusive at all. Within 10 minute walk to a ton of things-Palacio Real/Via Garibaldi/Piazza de Ferrari. Little further and walkable to Genova Piazza Principe for the train and a lot of busses. We didn’t taxi or metro anywhere but saw plenty for taxis and metro stations. Coffee maker in room good. Safe too. Shower nice. Balcony comfortable with seating for 2.
If you’re looking for good focaccia (not so thick) we did a tour and then found it the next day. La fantasie di gio. The walking tour was Prosecco, Focaccia, and Joy. Karl is encyclopedic. Tied for best money spent on this trip (with another experience in Manarola-pesto making). Genoa-2.5 days perfect amount of time. Enjoy!"
