"The property was beautiful and basically in the middle of the woods so dead easy for dog walking - also and outside hose which was really handy considering how muddy it was! It was freezing when we arrived but the heating, once I figured it out was effective. Unfortunately there were no logs or kindling for the fire which would have been beautiful. Also, the cues for the pool table were broken but we managed to partially fix one and had a few games with a beer or two - an added bonus!

"No air conditioning but there was a dyson fan and a heater. Room had a coffee machine, mini fridge, hairdryer and a handheld steamer. We stayed in a room overlooking the harbour and it was very quiet. You couldn't hear any noise from the pub next door. Room was modern and very clean. The bed was huge (king) and very comfortable. There were places nearby to get breakfast and is very close to a Sainsbury and M&S food (Apr26)."

"Great place if you want close to the railway: just across the street and around the corner. Very clean, room was small but comfortable, very clean. It did have too much of an air freshener odor so we hid the freshener sticks and didn't use the smelly soap. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and they stored our luggage in the early morning because we went to Stonehenge. I'd stay here again."

"A little gem! The food was the real surprise, absolutely delicious. Milly was the perfect hostess too. The wedding we saw was magical. The rooms are fresh and new, although I challenge the choice of carpet, looks dated already. The pool could do with more staff cleaning it at busy times instead of on their phones but it still was a fantastic addition to the overall facilities. Phenomenal value, we shall return!"
"Good points:
On arrival, there was plenty of parking in a pleasant setting. The reception staff were very friendly and provided clear directions to my room, the bars, and other facilities. The main reception area was well presented and gave a very promising first impression.
Not so good:
The room was clean and a good size, but it felt a little dated, particularly the bathroom. There was damage to the door, and some of the fittings looked tired.
Bad points:
When I went to use the pool and gym facilities, three members of staff at the spa desk simply told me to help myself to a towel from the large pile next to them and that the male changing rooms were through the double doors, which my room key should open. There was no guidance on what was connected to the changing rooms, where the gym was, or where any other facilities were located. In fact, a local spa member gave me better customer service than all three staff combined.
The restaurant layout felt very impersonal, almost like a school dinner hall, with row after row of tables. Service was prompt — perhaps too prompt. I ordered sausage and mash, although it had a fancier name on the rather tatty menu. It felt as though the waiter took my order to the kitchen and returned almost immediately with the food. It was food, and I was hungry, but it was nothing to write home about.
Summary:
At around £130 per night, would I stay again? No."
"I think I had a very different expectation about the room I stayed in. It was very small. Definitely, it looked differently when compared to rooms' pictured on The Elsabeth House Hotel's website. There were no shelves to unpack my stuff. The bathroom was very poorly equipped.
The room was clean and the Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great and the Bar had good food.

"We have stayed in the Crown several times so were happy to re visit whilst touring the New Forest in ideal location.
Helpful, cheerful staff made us welcome . Nothing to much trouble
We declined an evening meal in hotel as we were meeting friends in town but breakfast was excellent wide choice available.
The down side of our stay is that the hotel really now seemed "tired" appearance. Window frames paint flaking off the decor in our room (203) was "dated' in need of a refurb. Mould in bathroom / shower, mirror corroded etc For a De luxe room maybe guest bathrobes would be a welcome addition
All in all we enjoyed our stay & would probably visit again and submit this review as our personal observations only
In a competitive hotel industry attention to detail for the future is paramount "
"The room was really nicely done and I appreciated the little extra touches like biscuits, hot chocolate sachets, and nice bramley toiletries. It was a bit dated in places (eg bathroom door chipped at the bottom, a couple of moths, and noise from other rooms using their water and walking upstairs). The staff were very friendly and attentive, making for a nice check in and check out experience. The pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi were so lovely. It was a peaceful area that felt modern and clean. It was a little small so felt busy at times (eg waiting to use the jacuzzi) but was really great to have at this hotel. The rain shower in the bathroom was also really lovely. Breakfast was great with a really nice selection all round and full size pastries and pancake machine a real bonus! "
"I loved my stay at Leonardo! Cosy room, beautifully decorated spaces, and a lovely staff. The location was perfect for me- a short cab or a meandering walk from the rail line, right across the street from stunning parks. My only complaint would be a few missed spills and stains in the room, but the core items, bed, shower, toilet, were perfectly clean and maintained."
