Such a lovely spot. We had some things come up with our arrival and departure and they offered to keep our luggage secure. Rooms are so cozy and homey, such a quiet and cute location. Loved the walkability to C.S. Lewis’s house and nature preserve and church. Staff were super helpful and kind—would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for one night at The Conifers guest house in a deluxe double room. We were welcomed at check in, which was very quick and efficient. The room was comfortable, quiet and airy (on a hot day), with tea and coffee available and a reasonable sized shower room. We had a good nights sleep in a large and comfortable bed. The next morning we had a good, buffet style breakfast which also included eggs freshly made and served by the friendly staff. We were able to park on the property. Spaces are limited so I would imagine there is street parking available nearby if required. This was our first time staying at The Conifers but we would happily stay again.

The property is easy to reach via various buses; despite its distance from the city centre (ca 12 stops). Friendly and competent staff. A good number of dining options and a couple of supermarkets (Waitrose, Sainsbury) within ca 10-15 min walking distance. The room is small but clean and quite cozy, with a kettle, instant coffee, and tea bags. Very good option for budge travel to Oxford.

Very comfortable, clean and quiet room, with good location for Headington shops and restaurants, and very close to the East Oxford hospitals which can be difficult to get to with heavy traffic if you have an early appointment. We walked to the Jasmine and Olive restaurant excellent food about ten minutes walk away.

A pleasing place to stay.

Very friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy, breakfast was good. The chairs though were a little uncomfortable. The toilet seat in my room needed to be fixed, it was a little loose. I would stay there again happily.

**Evaluation of The Oxford Retreat Guest House** The Guest House, located just outside of Oxford, is exceptionally clean and cosy, providing a welcoming family atmosphere. The service was great, with very friendly and attentive owners. It's easy to reach the city center by public transportation, and made it a convenient, affordable and a good choice for us.

Check-in and checkout were contactless. The room was pretty clean. It was quiet. There is parking available. Well stocked kitchenette with coffee, tea, and sugar though we did not partake. A good budget option.
