"The way I was treated by HOTEL.COM, my issues are with you and the hotel, and I don't think you really care about my feedback unless it's positive. I am 80 years old and my wife is 75. I booked this hotel specifically because it was supposed to be pet friendly, which it said so in your information, and I specifically placed it in the filters. Also, my pet is a service dog. We arrived at 3 PM to check in with our dog and walked in with him. Immediately the clerk declared that the "third party" you, did not inform the hoter about the pet. To my comment that the dog was specifically mentioned as a filter, the clerk replied that it didn't matter because the didn't allow dogs over 30lbs, a restriction that was never mentioned on your website. None of it was relevant because the dog was a service dog indeed and the law in California is very clear but the clerk rejected us. Reporting the case to your people resulted in and email refusing to refund our money we paid, which was abnoxious as hell because it clearly wasn't our fault we were rejected by the hotel. I did reply to the refusal with a letter explaining the situation in details but we didn't receive any respond from your person who should be fired promptly. Ironically, prior to booking this particular hoter, we booked with you several hotels in August along I 40 and 70 between Los Angeles and Philadelphia, and this is the terrible treatment we are receiving from you in return."
