"A very quiet stay. Front desk and housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. A great location from Powell Street Station. They provide discounts at some local restaurants - Al Pastor Papi (excellent!), Magnin Street Cafe and Bistro (popular! nice vibe, good service), and others. Difficult to regular room temperature. Gym small and mostly filled with ellipticals and treadmills but I was able to do my routine along with hill walking. "

"The property is well located, and the staff is generally willing to help as much as they can. About a week before my stay, I received a message from the hotel informing me that they would be working on the balconies. Unfortunately, the noise made it difficult to rest, and with workers both outside and inside the balconies, there was no privacy. I had to keep the curtains closed the entire time, so I couldn’t even enjoy the view."

"At this particular Motel 6, housekeeping shows up every other day. Not each day. Plan on getting your extra shower towels at front desk if needed. Check to see if they booked your room access card (key to your room) for the proper amount of days of your stay. We had to get them to get us new keys the very next morning."

"The location was AMAZING, close to everything and definitely a highlight! We recommend this resort if you plan on spending a lot of time enjoying the grounds. The pools were nice and heated, the beach quite calm, mini golf, restaurants, everything was beautiful, we didn't even got a chance to experience all of it. However, if you plan on being out exploring San Diego you might get a better and more affordable deal somewhere else. The room it self was very very basic for the price you pay. Our room was clean, but had no ventilation other than the AC unit (unless you left front door right open) and it was so stuffy, humid and smelled like it. We really missed the simple things that like having a robe and slippers, shower caps, bar soap.... Our outdoor chairs and area felt a dirty to sit in. We had a few spiders staying with us on the corner of the ceilings too (friendly ones). Five stars for the grounds, 2.5 stars for the bedroons. The staff was kind enough to lower our parking fees upon us requesting it in advance and we highly appreciated it."

"I reserved a premium room and paid extra for it. While the room was located on a top floor with a wonderful view, it was adjacent to the bank of elevators. Behind the headboard on the other side of the wall was a service elevator, which caused constant noise throughout the night, making it sound like planes were landing. The next morning, I approached the front desk to request a room change, as I still wanted a premium room but without the constant sound of moving elevators. However, my husband and I were assigned to a room with far less square footage than our previous one, and it wasn't a premium room, despite what the woman at the front desk had said. We were disappointed, and unfortunately, there was no adjustment made to my bill. Aside from this, we liked the location of the hotel and the breakfast was good."
