"The communication for check in was very smooth. The owner was super nice and understanding for the late arrival. The house was gorgeous and I got to chose the suites. The room was spacious and had every thing essentials. The decor was classy. The parking spot in front of the house was available during low season so it was very convenient. "This was my 2nd time staying at Hotel Calabona, it’s an ideal hotel in Alghero! The hotel is waterfront with a small private cove, has a large pool overlooking the sea! It’s a 15 minute walk to the town center or they have a free shuttle. I suggest booking a room with a water view, it’s worth it. The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely accommodating! I highly suggest renting a car for a day trip to Castlesardo, La Pelosa Beach (ranked a top beach in Europe), you need to make a reservation), and some of the local beaches. Maria Pia was my favorite (15-20 minute drive), you can find street parking at the back of the hotel near the promenade. My only suggestion to the hotel, i. the summer, keep the pool open a little later. Thank you Hotel Calabona! I’ll be back!"
