"Hotel was spotless, owners extremely helpful and friendly. King size comfortable bed. Room was beautifully decorated with lots of little extras. Even left us an Easter Egg each in the room. "The proprietors are very friendly and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped with a large shower (room Agatha). It's in an excellent location both for the beach, town centre and harbour. There is also a nice garden with nice new garden furniture. We like it so much that we have been going for the last 5 years."

"Such a lovely property, in a beautiful building, beautiful area, and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spotless and tidy and the beds, comfortable. We can't recommend this property enough. The only slight sadness is that the bathrooms are so small (can't be helped) and the main room doesn't serve breakfast. While it is offered in bedrooms, the common room on the ground floor is beautiful and larger, with the perfect table to invite people to greet one another and build community. "

"On arrival the owners were very welcoming greeting us by our names giving it that personal touch. The rooms are light fresh and clean but most importantly we’re ready for us when we checked in. The location of the property is perfect as it is close to the beach. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it to set us up for the day. "Visiting out of season on Dartmoor it was still well set up for guests. The location itself was perfect with food and drink just next door. The guys expect muddy clothes and boots after a day on the moors, and couldnt be more helpful to offer local advice. The hot tub was fantastic, offering a great chance to chill after knocking up some miles, with a lovely fire place to warm and chat after. Thanks for a great stay"

"Sonachon house is now under new owners Leanne and Aaron. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, toast, and yoghurt on offer. They also provide some towels for the beach as well as free loan of bucket and spades.There is a spacious communal lounge which was really nice to relax in over a cup of coffee. Rooms were clean and nice ensuite shower room. Aaron tells me that he is planning to offer fishing trips next year for guests. A most enjoyable...

"We enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed and not too far from the beach. Only downside was the parking spaces were small and people didn’t keep within the lines meaning that there wasn’t enough spaces for everyone which could be a problem in peak season as the road outside is busy with parked cars."
