"What to say really, nice and welcoming, rooms are nice and presentable, good to have thing planned as they do go into the rooms to clean and so on, little mini fridges in rooms with chilled water and a small milk, kettle with tea and coffee and so on. Nice throwback to the days of B&B, Breakfast is more filling than you think, dining room is also the bar, not that we used it but looked quaint enough. "The Amber House has a very friendly and homely feel to it, I found it a very enjoyable stay and as a solo traveller as my room was a good size and very comfortable.If the weather is nice they have a lovely garden to sit out in and also a ' honesty bar' which has a nice selection in it. I thoroughly recommend you stay here if you're ever in Paignton. "

"In these difficult times with Covid, the Commodore has it sussed with self service check in and owut and measures in place to have a safe break. As a dog owner they allow pets. Free easy car parking in front of the hotel was an added bonus. Only disapointment was breakfast was not avaliable, but its convenient locations offers plenty of alternatives."

"Over all the stay was good and the Bristol House is in a fantastic location within Paignton with everything in walking distance. I have no real bad feed back about the stay, however maybe the house could do with a bit of a lick of paint in the room and freshen it up, I think it would have such a greater impact on customers staying there if it was spruced up a little bit. Overall the room was clean which is always good. Breakfast was fantastic and very tasty. "
