"We've stayed in the Mekong Riverview Hotel several times over the past 7 years and it continues to be a lovely place to spend time. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable and we love the large balconies. The friendly staff are a highlight and they always do their best to accommodate any request you have. Breakfast is simple but delicious and comes with lovely views at the riverside restaurant. Note: I recommend requesting a second floor room as vans tend to park out front during the day and block the river view from the balcony. "

"This really was a dream resort. The attention to detail was amazing. The service we received from the staff could not have been more attentive from Mr Anousack the restaurant manger, who cheerfully saw to our every need, to the lovely obliging receptionist. The resort is spotless. Our rooms were cleaned daily. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable. I highly recommend this resort."

"We loved our spacious and clean premium 2 bedroom villa. The view from both bedrooms and outdoor seating area were simple gorgeous. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is limited but i liked the fact they don't have a huge variety and thus limit wastage. It would have been nice to have milk in the villa for tea/ coffee. We asked housekeeping for it but didn't get the milk. The shuttle service to the city centre and back was an added bonus. It would have been nice to have a covered vehicle since the approach road is very muddy. "

"My partner and I stayed at Victoria Xienthong Palace in December 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel’s location is excellent—within easy walking distance of key attractions such as Wat Xienthong, the morning and night markets, and the old town centre of Luang Prabang. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help. On our departure day, as we had an early flight, the team thoughtfully prepared a very generous takeaway breakfast for us and also provided complimentary airport transfer, which we truly appreciated. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well-located property that is close to major sightseeing attractions yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s stay."

"3泊しました。バスタブ付きの部屋にして水回りの掃除もきちんとされており、シャワーの湯量や温度も充分でした。リネン類も清潔です。長期滞在しても快適に過ごせそうです。朝食は少し離れた所で、メコン川を眺めながら取る事が出来ます。静かな場所にあり、のんびり出来ます。ワット・シェントーンにも近いです。オーナーが若くてとても感じの良い方でした。ありがとうございます。"

"Based on recent 10 day stay we found that apart from the absolutely lovely and attentive team, the stand-out features were the efficiency and thoroughness of the cleaning team, the very good quality of the towels and linen, and the location at the heart of th peninsular. The Villa is showing its age just a little here and there (which is part of its charm). It had very little storage space, but everything worked, from lights, to ceiling fan (no need for A/C over Dec-Jan cool season) to the shady breakfast courtyard, the in-room safe and the renovated bathrooms. Not for the luxury seekers, but just right for those wanting a comfortable and atmospheric Luang Prabang experience at a reasonable price.."
