"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. We could see several places where the hillside had given way into the road and one...

"The view from Tiki Villas is so beautiful, incredible pool/restaurant views in particular but also from each villa, they are all so well situated. The recent renovation is really well done with fantastic indoor/outdoor bathrooms and super comfortable beds. I think some finishing touches are still being done but I have no doubt it will be fantastic when finished. Staff are all friendly and the food is excellent - wonderful breakfast and really inventive dinner dishes."

"Amazing stay at Ecotica. The room with two queen beds was quite spacious and it was spotless everyday. We also were up in the trees where we were graced with squirrel monkey’s swinging in the trees next to our room every day. We saw a sloth up close and white face monkeys every day along with many other animals. It truly was a treat! The grounds were lush and beautiful and the staff were magical! Definately staying her again!"

"The restaurant food was okay, walking anywhere off property requires stamina (quite steep), but other than that, you’d be hard pressed to find a nicer place with nicer staff. Stunning, classy, and comfortable. Beautiful property in one of the most beautiful places in the world. "

"Our room was really comfortable. It was so clean, too. We chose a garden view so we could see wildlife, and we were not disappointed. Every morning we had capuchin and howler monkeys. I saw and heard macaws as they flew by, and the path to the beach was just a few steps from our room."

"Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff. The grounds are managed in a way where you feel peaceful as soon as you walked into the hotel. The pool is beautiful. The rules are vast and well decorated. The food at the restaurant was super good and the price was really competitive compared to other restaurants. We tried around the hotel. "Lovely hotel with friendly staff. You are so close to Manuel Antonio park and the beach with a good choice or bars and restaurants. La Vela Boutique has a small pool which is not busy so getting a sunbed in the afternoon isn’t a problem. Big shout out to the pizza chef who managed to prepare and cook 2 superb pizzas during a power cut under the torchlight of an iPhone. A great place to stay.."

"Absolutely perfect hotel! The wildlife, staff and accommodations were fantastic. Many different tourists, from around the world, and even the guests were kind and friendly. It is not a fancy hotel but we ate at expensive (“exclusive “) hotel restaurants at times and Hotel Verde Mar was a WAY better of experience overall. Just fabulous!"
