"The rooms are very average. This property is far better suited for road construction workers out on the job, than for travelers headed to vacation. Definately a budget hotel. Breakfast is far below average compared to other hotels. The staff meet our front smoking and the oder flows through the front doors. The back door is propped open all night for workers to go outside and smoke - leaving the hotel assessable to anyone all night long. "
"We have stayed at Avista multiple times!! Every time was literally perfect, except our most recent trip. The lady who checked us in, seemed a little “bothered”. When calling up who was next in line, it wasn’t a pleasant “Hi how are you” or “Welcome to Avista” it was simply “ID” in such a bothered tone. Then the stove only had 2 working burners, and we used a casserole pan in the oven while cooking…My mom took it out and set it on the counter and it literally exploded!! Glass and food everywhere!! Considering we had 4 children in the condo, things could have went very bad in that situation but luckily it did not.
One other minor complaint, is the coffee situation. The coffee in the room is horrible, our packs of creamer had to be expired of bad, the powder was litterally stuck together & just looked very old. The only option is to purchase from the restaurant, and the coffee is super blah. For this type of resort, I feel coffee should be an automatic accommodation within maybe the lobby area, as even much cheaper standard hotels provide & it should be free! Coffee is a common thing across the board, that I’m sure MAJORITY of guests enjoy.
Other than that single incident, and my small complaint per usual we had an amazing time. The condo and view were literally PERFECTION (high floors are the best). The resort itself will keep kids busy, and beach is so beautiful. Condo SUPER CLEAN and absolutely spacious!!! "
"Room was new & nice. Breakfast was good. I had a waffle & hard boiled egg along with coffee & water. Only complaint was the noise. Not sure if walls & door are too thin or we just had noisy people outside & inside."
