Property was well located near beach, rooms good, staff, especially at the restaurant, great. I was disappointed there was no pool and also nowhere to sit that wasn’t part of restaurant, I always felt pressure to buy something to eat or drink when I just wanted to read my book.

This could easily be a 4 or 5 star property (for the Philippines). However, they are letting it run down. There were spiders and webs by the toilet, with enough spider feces dropped that I knew it hadn’t just taken up residency. The shower sprayer holder was broken, and they had taped it with what looked like an entire roll of electrical tape, making it unusable. The air conditioner worked GREAT. But it is stuck on 17C (62F), with no way to control it. And it is ALWAYS on if you are in the room, so you freeze. The room I booked specifically mentioned a patio/terrace. However, what they mean by this is that there is a walkway to your room that everyone uses. lol I am a local, I live about 60km away, and booked just to stay close to the airport for a flight. Breakfast was sub-par even compared to where I live. The place could be amazing. It’s super cute. Great location. Rooms are huge and unique. But I think they just need to up their game on the details.

Have stayed here four times. The rooms are modern and clean, the hotel restaurant is right on the beach and the menu is excellent and well priced. At night it is quiet. AC works well and internet is very good. I will continue to come here.

The room was clean and basic and was recently upgraded. However we paid for an ocean view room and none of the rooms are ocean view, they could not refund us any money and just said the the owner made a mistake in Expedia so don't book an ocean view room and pay more.

Keep looking and look for customer videos.
Once again a place that has nice pictures on the internet probably from when it first opened! It's a low end place with a high price. Not worth the money! Many places minutes away from the beach that are beautiful and half the price. Just rent a little scooter to get around.

Simple room, great location, friendly helpful staf
This is a no frills hotel, but is on the beach, clean, and has friendly helpful staff. For the price, you can't beat it. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the AC worked great and we felt safe there. The front desk staff was pleasant and helped us arrange transportation. The location is great as you can just walk right out onto the beach and have restaurants all around you. Note that there isn't an ocean view from any of the rooms, but that didn't matter to us since we only slept in the room and spent all of our time on the beach and in the water.

Great location ,friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good especially the fresh fish. Only complaint was room had no view only a wall,i had booked an ocean view.

Cheap option in Bohol
Room is spacious and the restaurant is pretty good. The room however is not very clean. The bathroom and corner of the bedroom smelled of pee. The AC does not work well at all which makes it uncomfortable since Bohol is hot and humid. Ants in the room and cockroaches in the restaurant (apparently common in Bohol however). Positive is wifi is decent in the room, good service, surprisingly quiet considering the hotel is on the touristy beach next to live music.

Great hotel located right on the beach front
Hayahay Resort is a great hotel located right on the beach front of Alona beach. It is great to wake up and walk out of the hotel and be right on the beach front. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms had good AC as well. Lots of restaurants and bars around. Room is basic but clean and a good size with plenty of space for 2 people.

This place was at the beachfront & in the middle of the bay strip so quite strategically located. Food is ok but the mango shakes are really nice. Overall the rooms are spacious & got cleaned every day. There’s a cozy feel to the place but it needs major updating. They have a fantastic rooftop that guests seldom use because it is not marketed enough. The restaurant looked a bit sad & staff does their jobs mechanically, minus the love. So it has a “dampening” feel. A pity because the place is really ok. It just needs a facelift & a refresh to make it “in” again.

Beach front. Nice front desk person named Erol. I mentioned to him that upon checking of the list of items in the snack baskets and refrigerator there are 2 missing items( lipovitan and butter toast and 2 choco drinks are expired. He said he will take note of these.

Nice property. I've stayed here before. The AC works well, and this location is reasonably priced. I like that it's right on the beach too and that McDonalds is nearby if I'm in the mood for American style fast food.

Comfort hotel
Traveling with a family of 8 can be a challenge. The affordability of the rooms enabled us to have separate space after a long day of fun. Ours was at the end (somewhat) facing the ocean- the view was partially obstructed by the restaurant’s second floor. The room was a bit tinier (about 2 feet) than the rooms towards the other end but did have a balcony (not sure it ifs common or for our use only). The place was kept clean. I appreciated the sign that said the water is not potable. The restaurant wasn’t great- we prefer eating at pyramid. The hot shower worked. They helped me with a flat iron and blow dryer🤗 which is not standard in every room. Very accommodating staff.

The property is right by Alona beach. They also have onsite restaurant. We had dinner in their restaurant and it was pretty good. On the day of checkout we had island hopping tour and they allowed us to checkout little later than usual time which was very nice of them. Only inconvenience is that the property is off road but you can call them to have someone come and bring your luggage. Most of all, being right by the beach and all the restaurants and diving shops was a big plus for us. I would stay here again.

Property is right smack on Alona beach. You get out of your room, take a few steps, you're on the beach. Can't get any closer. One would think that it's going to be noisy due to its location but, no, the room I stayed in kept the noise out and provided me with a good place to rest. Aside from one maintenance issue that was taken care of right away, I had a pleasant stay at the property. This is due mainly to the wonderful and cheerful staff.

Great place, great location.
Our stay at this hotel was fabulous. The staff was great, the room was perfect and the food was fabulous. The location was also perfect, very central on the beach. I would definitely stay here again. My only regret is I didn’t book here for longer

The rooms are definitely smaller than they appear in the photos. What makes up for this is the friendly service by the staff. Another good point for this hotel is its proximity to other restaurants and dining options. What I hope that hotel owners or operators would do is to come together in maintaining the cleanliness of the sea shore and shallow parts of the beach.

We have had a great time at Hayahay. We are very satisfied with service and the location. Very nice staff. Nothing to complain about. It’s not a luxury place but it’s very good and have all you need. Food is good, the coffee could be better. Really recommend this stay. Stayed for five nights and could have stay even longer but it was fully booked.
