"Rough road to get there. Dinner was not great, very poor value for price. Lovely ambiance. Beautiful courtyard. Loved dinner by the fireplace. Kind server. Do not recommend the eggplant! Bathroom had loose ceiling tiles that seemed open to outside. Very humid smelling room. Nice big room but disappointing fire 180/night."

"We ended up staying here for a total of almost 2 weeks. We would stay here and then check out to go do treks in the jungle, but then always return to this hotel. The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Everything is very clean, there is always hot water. They have a free baggage storage service, that's nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pots and pans, dishes etc. There's a nice outside area where you can sit and enjoy a view of the city. Because we kept checking in and leaving and coming back, we got to stay in a total of three rooms, all the rooms that we have seen were really nice. All of them are out of direct sunlight. All the rooms are very spacious. One nice thing is that they ask that you keep your shoes just outside the main entrance, but you can walk around in sandals. This is part of why the floors and everything else are so clean and beautiful. And it also establishes that you can trust the place, your stuff is safe sitting out by the door. The hostel is maybe 15 minutes walk away from the main part of the city, it's just removed enough so that you don't have the noises of the city around you and it's peaceful. It has a really great view over the city, there are some little shops and restaurants just a couple minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and if we come back, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. "

"This hotel is very well situated to walk in Latacunga. We were there only one night before a 3 day hike and would recommend. Everything was clean and modern. We had a small plate of nuts and fruits in the room when we got there, which was nice. There are 2 things that could be improved: 1. Breakfast was included and there were a lot of options but only fruits for vegan. It would be nice to have nuts or bread without eggs as an additional option. 2. It was very warm in the room and we had to close the window since it smelled like food outside. They offer an option to bring you a portable fan/AC which is nice but it was very loud and noisy during the night. The next day the mentionned they have quieter units. The staff was great and overall would recommend. "
