"They didnโt replenish toiletries and cloths as necessary during house cleaning, the room smell moldy, and mildew. I had to have them come change my sheets due to the overwhelming smell, but they were helpful and kind and offer get rates to extend my stay last minute. The resort was beautiful and big."

"Overall, we had a really fun stay! I wouldnโt say it was the best resort Iโve stayed at, but the views were absolutely incredible and the staff were honestly amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and even the other guests were SO nice and welcoming. We met some really cool people, which made the whole experience even better. One of my favourite parts was seeing monkeys right on the beach ๐๐ด such a cool experience! There was so much nature around the resort, and I loved the fun atmosphere, entertainment and nightly shows. There was always something going on. That being said, there were definitely a few things that couldโve been better. The resort is VERY hilly, so getting around could be a bit of a struggle, especially when you had to wait for a shuttle. Sometimes the shuttles took quite a while to pick you up or get you where you needed to go. The food was pretty average, and the swim-up bar could get frustrating. There were times when there was only one bartender working when they clearly needed more, and we waited up to 20 minutes for drinks. Overall, itโs a beautiful resort with amazing views, incredible staff, friendly people, lots of nature and a really fun vibe. I genuinely enjoyed my trip, but with the food, transportation and bar service, Iโd give it a 7/10 โญ๏ธ"

"Pretty good experience, power was off and we werenโt notified for half a day, some things were a little outdated like broken tiles and other things however, most beautiful scenery and access to the beach was great ! Staff was decent"

"We had a great time at El Mangrove. Amazing staff who were all very friendly, helpful and respectfully attentive without being intrusive. We stayed at the end of August, start of September which is supposed to be rainy season so the resort was very very quiet. Lucky for us. Room was a king deluxe with balcony and forest view. The resort itself had multiple pools, as is beach front although we didnโt move far from the main one. Almost none of the rooms have ocean view but we spent most our time at the pool area. Lunch menu from the bar / pool menu was more basic and we found was better prepared by that kitchen. The more elaborate menu from the main evening restaurant was a little hit and miss on quality of execution of the dishes. We found much of the seafood to be over cooked for our liking. By the time we had been there a week we were mostly ordering off the more basic menu. Breakfasts were great with fresh fruit etc. We took a jet ski tour with and an ATV tour. Jet skis were fun but would probably give the ATV a miss if we were to return. Canโt say enough good things about the staff! 10/10"
