"I really liked the customer service, the beach is not as beautiful as others but the activities, the food, the shows and the staff were great. The room was also amazing, my kids loved the slide in their bed. I will definitely come back"
"The views are absolutely breathtaking, easily the standout feature of the property. Whether you’re overlooking the ocean at sunset or walking through the grounds, the scenery is stunning. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with lush landscaping that really adds to the overall experience. Most of the staff around the hotel were warm, welcoming, and very helpful, which made navigating the property and enjoying the amenities easy.
That said, the dining experience fell short. The restaurant staff were not as friendly, and the service felt subpar compared to the rest of the hotel. The menu lacked variety, and it felt like there were very limited options—almost like you were stuck eating the same meals repeatedly. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t stand out either.
Because the hotel is quite secluded, you don’t have many alternatives unless you’re willing to travel about 30 minutes into town, which can be inconvenient if you’re relying on the on-site dining.
On a positive note, the private beach was a nice feature and a great place to relax and unwind.
Overall, Villa Caletas offers incredible views and a beautiful, peaceful setting, but improvements to the restaurant experience and menu variety would make a big difference."
"Parking in the street is sketchy. I would highly recommend knowing how to speak Spanish if you are staying here. Not a lot of surrounding restaurants. Staff are very helpful, AC works well, pool is great, community hotel vibe with updated rooms. Power went out twice, but they had a company fixing it there immediately. Hotel parking is tricky-but eventually worked out. Go early for breakfast-avoid the rush. "
Eco Boutique Hotel Vista Las Islas Reserva Natural
8/10 Good
"This is our third time at the property. The view is unbeatable. Howler monkeys come by close. Comfortable apartments. Friendly staff. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that the apartments are a bit tired and outdated. "
