Great location for walking to many attractions. Lots of dining in the area. Nice area. Hotel quite "period" and quirky. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Historical Hotel with Awesome Service

Our room window was facing the main street and it was very noisy throughout the night and early morning. And we stayed on a weekday evening, not a weekend. The rooms are not soundproofed; I heard another guest snoring as well!

When we arrived we were told that they were placing us in a room that would be quieter because of the noise at a party on the street below. The room that we were put in was absolutely terrible and did not at all match the description of the room that we booked. It was absolutely awful. It was also still incredibly noisy from the party below. I complained to the staff but it was too late at night to change our room. The next day they did move us to a more appropriate room.

Great central location. Big room with roof balcony

Loved the location in the Opera district, tugged away in a cute shopping aisle. 20-25 minutes walk to all the major sites. We got a very spacious room on the 4th floor, wiith a huge roof balcony. Air condition was so so, just local device not central. So had to use cross breeze of the fans during hot month of August.

Excellent value for money

The hotel’s location is perfect. The metro station next door can take you pretty much to everywhere. The prissy bus station is also quite close to take you to the airport. If you are in the mood for walking, most sites within 20 minutes of walk. Many restaurants around. AND safe! I stayed at this hotel last time I visit Paris and very satisfied; hence, directly booked with them again this time. The staff also very kind. I arrived early before 11am, and they still got me checked in with a nice room, 4th floor facing the city, great view! (Tip: the 5th floor does not have elevator; hence, if you travel with a lot of luggage, try to avoid it.) The room is small, but you are traveling in Europe and given the great price the hotel offer, it is expected. The only thing I don’t like is that the heating is far too warm; but I heard that it is the case in many hotels this winter. So not a complain towards BW itself.

The location is this hotel is super. But have to say my trip was pretty much ruined when I was locked out of my room on the last night. I had met friends who were over from Australia. Been out for dinner and returned to the room. Left my phone wallet. Popped upto their room and when I came back down the door wouldn’t open. After waiting in reception for almost an hour the door simply was locked shut and couldn’t be opened. I was then put in some kind of staff/reserve room. A single bad and no window. No ability to tell what time it was. No belongings of any kind. I was told I would get a call at 7-8am the next morning. The anxiety this caused me was unreal, not knowing when I’d get back in my room. Not knowing if I’d make my train back to London. And frankly the hotel staff didn’t seem to really care. No real apologies. The next morning, 8.30 no call so I head down and I tell them I was locked out. I get a sharp “yes” and then I have to ask what’s going on. So blaze, I’m told they are waiting for someone to come out but it could be 9 or later but not really sure. So I head back upto the room where I sit and wait. At around 9.40 I get a call saying I can now get back in my room. On checkout I ask for a refund for that night. Since I didn’t stay in the room I paid for. She goes to ask the manager he agrees but it needs to go through Expedia. You guessed it still no refund. Hotel not relishing and I’m left with a bitter taste of a trip. Not good enough on both fronts.
